Isojärvi
Lying in the southern edge of Finnish inland blue gem – the lakeland district – there’s Isojärvi National park. The destination described as the heart of Finland is composed of the most loved landscapes: alluring lakeshores, winding paths between fairytale woodlands and rocky hills with cliffs made for gazing sunsets.
Wide variety of outdoor activities wait for you in Central Finland: linger by a bonfire, visit Heretty Cabin Cafe and service centre or rent out the necessary exploration equipment and paddle away with a kayak.
In Isojärvi National Park you’ll be sure to experience Sincere Wilderness, which means focusing on the essential and enjoying the natural world without putting on a show. Ignite the bonfire and let your mind wander. Inhale the living world around you. Let your eyes follow the buzzing dance of insects. Cook on fire. Pour yourself some coffee. Take a dip in a lake. Make no sound. Count the stars. Repeat.
