Porvoo old city, in its Christmas lights, is as beautiful as a candy, like a large Advent calendar full of doors to be opened. Here, one truly enters the spirit of Christmas. In this article, through my pictures, you will get to see the beauty of the place, which is also worth experiencing in person. From Helsinki to Porvoo, it is only a 50-kilometer journey.

In January, Old Porvoo basks in sunshine. I adore the old buildings in the morning sun and at sunset. Indeed, the bright midday sun also beautifully illuminates the colorful buildings.

Old Porvoo is like a small gingerbread village in its festive lights. What an atmospheric and beautiful sight!

After the harsh frosts, it felt safe enough to take a walk on the ice of the Porvoonjoki River. Despite the cold, we received more solar energy than in a long time. It gave a sense of hope and anticipation that spring is soon on its way.
