The Finnish wilderness is best experienced when you engage all your senses. Finland, Naturally invites you to the heart of Nuuksio National Park for Wine in the Woods. This is a two-hour journey where premium European wines and the Nordic forest intertwine in a way you’ve never experienced before.

From a Sensory Walk to the Forest Wine Lounge

Your experience begins with a short, guided sensory walk through the winding forest trails. Our guide will help you leave the hustle behind and tune into your surroundings: the feel of moss underfoot, the crispness of the air, and the way the sunlight filters through the canopy.

Once your mind is calm and your senses are sharp, we arrive at our forest wine lounge. This covered, open-air space provides shelter from the elements while keeping you fully immersed in the nature around you. Here, our Wilderness Sommelier takes the lead. You don’t need any prior knowledge of wines. Our expert will guide you through a curated selection of sustainably produced European wines, sharing the stories and secrets behind every drop.

Flavors of Nature and Constant Change

Wine is a product of nature; the minerals of the soil, the rhythm of the seasons, and the warmth of the sun are all captured in the bottle. In our Wine in the Woods tasting, the wine comes home. We sample five wines with distinct connections to the natural world, paired with small, curated bites inspired by the Finnish forest.

What makes this experience truly unique? The nature itself. No two tastings are ever the same because nature is ever-changing. The bright greenery of late spring, the sun-drenched cliffs of midsummer, the misty gold of autumn, or the silent peace of winter provide a different frame for every session. The wine and the forest engage in a dialogue that can never be perfectly replicated.

Wine in the Woods is located in the accessible Nuuksio National Park (reachable by HSL bus to the Haltia/Solvalla stop, or via free parking for those arriving by car). The experience starts and ends at the Finnish Nature Centre Haltia.

Public Summer Tastings: Every Saturday

During the summer season, we host open tastings every Saturday. Whether you are traveling solo, visiting with a friend, or looking for a unique date with your spouse, you can book individual spots. We rotate themes weekly between white and red wine packages.

Private Groups & Corporate Events

The experience is available for private groups (5–14 people) year-round. For larger groups, we can easily split the party into two sessions. It’s the perfect highlight for a team-building day, a celebration, or for impressing international guests with something authentically Finnish.
